Using the timeline below, you can explore books from previous newsletters by their era.
If you’re curious about a specific time in history, the timeline helps you narrow in on the year(s) that interest you most. When possible, I’ve used the story’s start and end dates; if those aren’t available, I’ve taken the liberty of a well-intentioned guesstimate.
A quick caveat: as with all fiction — and especially historical fiction — we must remember that both the history and the time period are always filtered through the author’s lens. Good historical fiction requires thorough research, but it also leaves room for imagination to fill the blanks. That balance is what makes it such a compelling genre.
Now, my dear time traveler, step into the Time Capsule and journey to a different moment in history. Tread carefully — but don’t let fact-checking get in the way of a great story.
Happy traveling!
